Climate, Economics and Financial Insecurity workshop in Perth

We’re inviting people working across climate, economics, gender, disaster, policy, research and community practice to join us in Perth for a free one-day workshop on Climate, Economics and Financial Insecurity.

Hosted by Gender and Disaster Australia, the Curtin Centre for Applied Ethics, the ARC Centre of Excellence for the Elimination of Violence Against Women (CEVAW), and Minderoo Foundation, the workshop will explore how climate-related hazards, disaster risk and financial insecurity intersect with gender and other forms of inequality.

Together, we’ll look at what we already know, whose experiences are still missing, and how research and policy can better respond to diverse communities. Insights from the day will help identify priorities, evidence gaps and opportunities for collaboration to inform the National Research Agenda on Gender and Disaster.
